I was recently at Design Edge in Washington DC to look at new introductions in furniture, wallcoverings, lighting, and textiles. It was design heaven everywhere! However, when I came to the end of one row, it was as if there was a spotlight shining down. And there it was: the Worthen Chamberlayne bed. It is this month’s “Just One Thing” and would be the centerpiece of my own calming space.

Spring is in the air in Main Line! As flowers bloom and warm breezes rustle the trees it's only fitting that we join in the seasonal change by breathing new life into our homes. That’s right, my friend, it's time for the annual spring cleaning ritual. There’s no better time to rid yourself of all the stuff you’ve acquired that you don’t need, want, or even remember you had.

Inspired by an expensive tile like this? Remember that it’s just perfect for the marquis in a shower, behind the range or-as shown in my design board- as the backsplash for the bar area. Rather than loving something and not using it at all, think of ways that you can incorporate your inspiration in a way that will work for you!
